The Association for New Canadians (ANC) in Gander, in partnership with the Canadian Mental Health Association – Newfoundland and Labrador (CMHA-NL), is hosting an Applied Suicide Intervention Skills Training (ASIST) workshop on October 29–30, 2026.

ASIST is an interactive, two-day workshop designed to equip participants with the skills to recognize when someone may be at risk of suicide, provide immediate support, and connect them with appropriate resources.
